About JOTT
Here's what you need to know about buying jade on the Internet:
- Most of the "natural jadeite" being sold online is treated or dyed green quartz.
- There are no reliable at-home tests for distinguishing natural from treated jade.
- You don't have to worry about any of that.
I'm Jordan with Jewels of the Trade, and I want to help you buy actual natural jade from trustworthy sellers, such as a local, independent jeweler or a vetted online seller.
Where can you buy jade? Brands I endorse on my channel include Mason-Kay Jade (shop mkjadejewelry.com and use the discount code JOTT for 10% off), Jade West, Mayan Mountain, as well as other Monterey Bay Jade Festival sellers such as Just In Jade, Freshwater Jade, and Allan Spehar.
However, there are many more incredible jade sellers -- so I encourage you to join the Jewels of the Trade Discord server to learn more about jade shopping from the JOTT Community and our repository of accurate jade information in the Discord's forum, Jade Info.
I do have a few items in my shop to help support the channel, but the primary purpose of this website is the blog.
We're in the market for rough jade while my husband is learning to carve! So if you have any to sell, please let me know.
